My boyfriend and I celebrated our Valentines going to this Mediterranean restaurant called Sole. The food was amazing, service was excellent, atmosphere was so relaxing, I absolutely enjoyed my Valentine’s day. The night was one of my finest dinning experience ever ❤
Grilled beef tenderloin.
I got medium rare and the beef is done exactly the way I wanted it with that beautiful pink color on the inside. The beef has this grilled aroma which fills your mouth with each bite.
Chocolate obsession cake.
The only word I csn say about this cake is Mmmmmmm~~~ Its out of the world delicious!!! I had many chocolate cakes that are overly sweet and makes your throat thirsty. This cake is just about right with a hint of quality chocolate’s bitterness.
I’m very clumsy when it comes to applying eyeliners. =(
I love to have a thin, almost invisible, line of eyeliners on my eyelid but I can never accomplish that perfect result. I find that liquid eyeliners are best when it comes to applying thin eyelines and I tried it before. Unfortunately, I ususally end up with a much thicker version which took me more than 20 minutes to finish. Because of my stupid stupid hands, I gave up on liquid eyeliners and turned to the gel ones. Gel eyeliners are much easier to apply but it cannot give me the thin eyeline I’ve always wanted.
I must tell you, I have not used liquid eyeliner personally (I tell my sister to apply it for me sometimes) since gel eyeliner was first introduced. I just don’t feel liquid liners and I are compatible. =( My heart changed when I saw the reviews for Motive’s Luxe Precision Eye Line. A lot of the people are writing about how amazed they are at the result after using this eyeliner and this tempted me to click the Add to Cart.
I tried it a few days ago when I feel like glaming up a little. The result?
TAH DAHHHHH! My FIRST thin eyeline which had been accomplish by MEE in years!
The result is not 100% perfect but since it’s my first time, I’m satisfied enough! =D With just a little more work, I’ll be able to get the perfect thin line I’ve always wanted.
Next in line is lips. I believe it’s every girl’s dream to having a pair of plump, luscious lips. So I purchased Motive’s Pucker Up Lip Plumper.
It stings a little when first applied but then later it cools your lip and the result really is amazing.
My friend saw my lips and wanted to try. Out of curiousity, I wanted to see how big of a difference the plumper would be on her so I also took photos of her lips.
The last step of my makeup is usually blush. A lot of people find it weird because they usually does their blush right after their foundation and powder. Now I think back, I do my blush last probably because when I first got myself familiarized with makeup, I often forget about blush so I tend to apply them last. I’m using the Motives Pressed Blush in So Peachy. Motives Blush are very easy to apply because they don’t clump up into a circle of colors on your cheek that just don’t seem natural. I find the blush blends in with my skin easily and I even ditched the blush brush and just applied it on with my fingers.
LOL Makeup does wonders doesn’t it? I really believe that makeup is one of the greatest inventions in the world. Well, for women at least.

I have been hearing really good reviews on Motives so I decided to give it a try. I’m always keen on trying new makeup products but just so I don’t end up with a bunch of makeups that I don’t like, I tend to buy the brand’s best sellers when I’m trying it for the first time. All the Motives makeup I’ll be showing today are the brand’s bestsellers.I’ll be introducing the makeups in the sequence of my makeup routines. First of course, is washing my face! (The following picture is a picture of my MAKEUP LESS face…I must warn you, its not a pretty face to look at…!! )
I have acne-prone and sensitive skin. Although I’ve managed to get rid of my acnes, i still have some acne scars from previous bouts with them. My sensitive skin is also causing the red spots around my nose. To make matters worse, I have serious dark circles. My skin also gets dry and flaky in the winter which is a pain in the ass when it comes to applying foundations. I usually need to double my moisturizing procedure before applying any makeup on my skin. My skin is not perfect. It has many flaws so I am the kind of person who relys on makeup and feels naked without them.
I use a shine-control makeup that also fixes skin discoloration. One tiny step to having a flawless face! =D Next I’m going to apply the Motives Liquid Powder Mineral Foundation.
I got the foundation in the color cream beige and it goes perfectly with my skin tone. =)
I applyed the foundation using the Motives Foundation Brush which also received a great review from customers.
After applying a layer of the foundation, I used the Motives Full Coverage Photo Finish Powder in color Neutral. Based on the color shown on the website, I was a little worried at first that the color would be too dark for me. To my relieve, the actual color of the powder is a lot lighter than it appears on the website and it goes really well with my skin.
The powder also came with a little sponge that fits in the compact.
Now I’ll be showing you my result after applying the foundation and the powder.
I must say I’m really happy with the result. If I don’t do enough moisturzing in the winter, I usually get flaky bits on my skin after applying makeup but surprisingly, I don’t see any flaky skins after applying the Motives foundation. The powder didn’t make my skin any drier, just smoother. Because of its moisturzing feature, I thought my skin will get oily really quickly in the t-zone. Another surpise, it didn’t!! My makeup stayed shine free and fresh even after a whole night of girls night out. I didn’t need to reapply my makeup at all and didn’t use even one sheet of oil-blotting paper. Another great thing about the foundation is that you can layer it. I tried layering the foundation under my eyes hoping it would work as a concealer. It really worked! With just a little bit of concealer, I could cover my dark circles completely. The Motives foundation brush is also a great tool for applying the makeup. I was using the MAC foundation brush, which is also good but a bit pricey. The Motives brush does the same wonders for my skin as MAC’s but with half its cost! So far, I’m very satisfied with the Motives Mineral Foundation and Photo Finish Powder. Keep posted I’ll be writing more about my feedbacks on other Motives cosmetics. =)
After over three months of waiting, (YES, THREE MONTHS!!!! 😡 !! ) My car finally came! My god, all those horrible time of waiting and waiting and waiting….. Anyways, at last it came and I LOVEEE it!
The Veloster Turbo comes fully equipped with Bluetooth, GPS, MP3 Audio System, USB input jack, and much more. With its performance, interior and exterior features, I think this car is well worth the price.
But I must say, Hyundai does such a POOR job in its supply of Velosters to dealerships. Never in my life have I waited three months to receive my car. I believe everyone else buying a Veloster Turbo went through the same dreadful process as I did. I’ve thought about canceling my contract but I’m glad I didn’t because this little car is well worth the wait. After driving it, I’m amazed at how much gas this car can save compare to other vehicles. I get so much better gas mileage and with the soaring gas prices, this is definitely worth something.
From my understanding, girls tend to decorate their cars more than guys. The guys tend to despise all the fluffy cushions, dolls, and cute tissue boxes in girls’ cars. Check this out.
LOL, I showed this to my boyfriend. He said, “WT*, what a waste.” The picture above is very extreme but when I was younger, I used to love decorating my car too because I don’t feel like the car is “mine” if I don’t add some personal touch to it. Does anybody feel that way??? When I got my first car, I spend hours searching online for Disney car accessories (yes, I’m a mickey mouse fan…don’t judge) and ended up threwing them all in the basement when I sold the car.
Perhaps it has to do with age but I find that as I get older, car accessories don’t seem to be the number one priority after getting a new car anymore. Instead, I worry about how to keep my car clean and the first thing I bought for my car is a bigger rear-view mirror. It’s SAFETY FIRST for me now! Hmm…but come to think about it, that fuzzy slipper in the car is a really good idea…time to get one for my car! XDDD
Aside from the crazy traffic, I love going to Toronto downtown because it never ceases to fascinate me with its people and stores. Went to downtown Toronto yesterday in search for a nice winter jacket. In the end, went home empty handed but it was nice getting some fresh air. I’ve been staying home way too much! XD
The black/leather coat I’m wearing is from Zara, black jegging from Zara, leopard shirt from H&M, and bootie’s from Aldo.
There are days when I am just lazy and don’t feel like doing anything. I just wanna crawl under my blanket, watch TV, and be a bum. (I’m sure you know the feeling.) But hey, life’s not that simple. Time calls and you just have to get up and go do what you gotta do. As much as I want to go out wearing my baggiest PJs, I really don’t want to scare people with my messy hairdo and “casual” outfit.
On my lazy days, I usually go out wearing the lightest makeup possible (LAZYYY…) with my hair in a bun. I wear my most comfortable pieces (usually just means baggy) because come on, who cares about sexiness when you just forced yourself out of the bed!
To make sure I still look decent on my lazy days, I always stock my wardrobe with soft, baggy knits that’s simple but unique. Today I wore my ASOS Lucky Horseshoe boyfriend cardigan. This cardigan has horseshoe prints all over the front and TA DAH, a huge lucky sign at the back! (The back is what caused my love-at-first-sight for this cardigan.) To add some color to my outfit, I wrapped a long leopard scarf around my neck.
What do you wear on your lazy days???? Speaking of lazy, *Yawn* I think I’m gonna head off to bed for a cozy nap now…. XD
As a woman age, not only does our face start to loose its elasticity and moisture, every inch of our body does, too. I hate to think about “aging” when I’m still in my twenties but I do believe that a woman needs to learn to take care of her body and be ready for the first wrinkle.
I don’t want to panic but for the past three years, I’ve been noticing that my body gets really dry in the winter. Three years ago, I don’t have problem with dry and itching skins on my legs or my hands. Now, I buy body lotions and swipe them all over my body after shower. It’s sad, but I have to say that I’m officially in the beginning of a woman’s aging process. =(
The Royal Spa’s Imperial Blend Bath and Shower Gel is a rich, soothing shower gel with a light fragrance. It is designed to clean and moisture your skin with the enhancement of golden beads of Vitamin A and E. The bath gel is great for dry skin people who needs elasticity and suppleness back into their body. The neat thing about this gel is that you can use it for a lovely bubble bath or just a regular shower gel. When I feel like pampering myself, I just drizzle a little gel in my tub under running water. Within minutes, the bathroom will be filled with a light orangy scent that refreshes and relaxes my body. I absolutely love how my skin feels after taking a shower with Royal Spa. It leaves my skin smooth and clean but without the dry feeling I get from using the regular soaps.
Compare to other high-end spa products, I find Royal Spa Imperial Blend Bath & Shower Gel reasonably priced. Each bottle (16 fl. oz.) goes a long way and most importantly, Royal Spa products are never tested on animals. ❤ (SAY NO to Animal Testing!)
